Dr. Tejinder Virdee
Dr. Tejinder Virdee has over 30 years of medical experience with over 25 of those specializing in Pediatrics. Dr. Virdee began his career in medicine in England after earning his MD from the University of Manchester, UK where he received distinction in Pediatrics. His certifications include: American College of Family Medicine and member of the Royal College of General Practitioners. While in the UK, Dr Virdee worked in Neonatology, Pediatric cardiology and intensive care. In 1994 moved to the U.S. and joined St. James Mercy Health as a Pediatrician where he remained until opening his own practice in 2007. Dr. Virdee now has offices in both Hornell and Bath and is committed to serving families and children of the Southern Tier. Dr. Virdee brings his insight as a father of 3 to his practice and remains actively involved with St. James Mercy Health as an emergency room physician. Dr. Virdee’s compassionate care has earned him a spot as a trusted expert in the field of Pediatrics in our area.
Dawn Sterner, FNP
Dawn Sterner is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 30 years of experience. Dawn is a graduate of the St. James School of Nursing and had worked primarily as a Pediatric Nurse until completing her certification as a Nurse Practitioner at Syracuse Community General Hospital. Dawn is a mother of 3 and understands that your children and their health are your number one priority. Dawn is married and currently living in Dansville.
Sandra Ross, NP is board certified as both a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and an Adult Nurse Practitioner. After graduating from Capital University, Columbus Ohio with a BS in Nursing in 1985, she completed a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner program from Cleveland Metro Health in 1990 and is board certified by the Pediatric Nurse Certification Board as a Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. In 2013 she completed her MSN from South University, Savannah, Ga. and obtained certification by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners as an Adult Nurse Practitioner. Previous experience includes; Nationwide Children’s Hospital Infectious Disease RN, Columbus Ohio; Knox County Health Department Director of Health Education; PNP Nemours Children’s Hospital Jacksonville, Florida; Case Manager Priority Home Health Care Perry, Ohio, Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital Pediatric Sexual Assault Team, Cleveland, Ohio, Emergency Department Ira Davenport Hospital, Bath, NY, OB/GYN Services Horseheads, NY. Sandra has a special interest in pediatric and adolescent health, women’s health, diabetes care, persons with disabilities and management of chronic disease. Sandra is new to our Practice in 2015 and primarily working in our Bath location.
